City of Stirling Events Upcoming Events Summerset Arts Festival 3 - 11 February 2012 The Summerset Arts Festival is back again!! In its fourth year running this great community festival has something for all ages with theatre, live music, art installations, comedy and much more…. We've secured some great national acts this year including The Cat Empire, comedians The Axis of Awesome, Sammy J and Randy and Dave Thornton and something for the kids with Dora the Explorer set to take the stage.  The program is jam packed! WAAPA in the Park Saturday 31st March 2012 7.30pm - 9.30pm Ron Stone Reserve, Mt Lawley Run in conjunction with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts this concert showcases WAAPA's finest performance and production services.   Be entertained by the powerhouse 18-piece WAAPA Big Band and the WAAPA Soul Revue.  Bring your family, friends and a picnic hamper and enjoy a free concert under the stars.  FREE Event! Baby Prom Sunday 15 April 2012 Two shows: 9.30am and 11.30am Carine Open Space, Carine The Baby Prom will bring Carine Open Space to life with two performances that offer children the wonderful opportunity to experience live music in an up-close and personal setting.  With the WA Youth Music Orchestra, children will learn about the instruments, be invited to conduct the orchestra and join the musicians on stage for the finale.
