The City of Stirling encourages all residents to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle, and maintains a number of recreational and cultural facilities.

There are major sport and fitness centres in Stirling;

Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre
The
Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre is a world-class aquatic, health and fitness centre located at 62 Alexander Drive, Inglewood, 7 kilometres north of Perth GPO.  Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sauna, Health & Fitness Centre with dedicated group fitness and spin studios and personal training.  The Centre is disables friendly and support Companion Card and the Watch Around Water program.

Leisurepark - Balga
Leisurepark - Balga is the City of Stirling's newest aquatic recreation centre located on Princess Road in Balga. Herb Graham Recreation and Fitness Centre
The Herb Graham Recreation and Fitness Centre is a fully equiped gymnasium and sports centre.  The Fitness Centre is equipped with everything you need to maximise your workout including pin-loaded weights, free weights and electronic cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and rowing machines. Free fitness appraisals and programming.  An array of sports competitions, coaching and community programs are also run by qualified and experienced leaders.

Hamersley Community Recreation Centre
Hamersley Community Recreation Centre is found in the heart of the suburb of Hamersley, two minutes south of the Warwick shopping complex.  A multitude of sports competitions are held in the sports hall and community user groups utilise the premises for a wide variety of activities suited to all ages.

Major Beaches and their Facilities
Some of Perth's best beachesincluding Perth's most popular beach at Scarborough and the metropolitan areas best surf beach at Trigg. Also included are the bay beach areas north of Trigg Island with Mettams Pool, North Beach and Watermans being amongst the best known.

BBQ Locations
The City of Stirling has 21 reserves across the City with
BBQ facilities. These BBQs are free to use and operate between 8:30am and 8:30pm (time switched lighting provided until 8:30pm).



In addition, the City also maintains a number of
Community Recreation Centres tailoring programs for a wide range of ages.
